The Estate
In the heart of Montalcino, one of the most picturesque towns in legendary Tuscany, lies Tenuta Friggiali, a world-renowned winery owned by the Peluso family for four decades. Here, amidst the lunar landscape of the Arbia Valley and the wild and sunny Orcia Valley, lie the vineyards of Brunello di Montalcino, one of the world's greatest wines.
Tenuta Friggiali is located on the southwest slope of Montalcino; the vineyards slope from 400 to 250 meters above sea level, the soil is rich in limestone, and the climate is breezy and cool. Tenuta Friggiali's Brunello di Montalcino is a traditional Brunello, suitable for long aging, with a particularly brilliant ruby red color.
Characterized by an elegant bouquet, it has an excellent tannic structure, a full and smooth texture, and on the palate it expresses the mineral notes typical of its terroir, accompanied by cherry jam and notes of Montalcino. The company produces approximately 150,000 bottles per year, destined equally for the Italian and international markets (USA, Canada, and Northern Europe). The company has a building complex of approximately 2,500 square meters used as a cellar and offices, as well as a Relais for hosting friends and clients.
